The Gospel Commission and Cooperation

Because Jesus has been given all authority, he instructs His followers to make disciples both in our city and all over the world (Matt. 28:18-20). Our aim as a church is to identify where God has purposefully placed us, and how can we share the good news of Jesus with those around us.

Our church is in partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and we support international and local missions by giving to the Cooperative Program (CP). In addition, we partner with like-minded churches for mutual support in ministry.

We truly believe that we are better together and can do more to further the kingdom of God in cooperation with each other than we could ever do alone.

We partner with the SBCV in an effort to see churches strengthened, mobilized, and planted throughout the state of Virginia.

International Missions is the heartbeat of WEBC. Several of our folks work for the IMB, have been missionaries serving in different parts of the world, or are currently serving in the work of missions.
