Brought together as a congregation by God's sovereign grace, through repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we rely on that same grace and the help of the Holy Spirit as we solemnly and joyfully covenant with one other that:

We will love God.

  • We will nurture our love for God by faithfully studying and meditating on the Scriptures, seeking God in prayer, fellowshipping with one another, and observing other God-given means of grace.

  • We will hate evil, love good, and honor Christ as Lord, living holy lives that reflect God’s righteous character.

  • We will teach anyone the Lord places under our care the truths of the Word of God, and to trust, love, and follow Jesus.

We will love one another.

  • We will commit ourselves to acting for one another’s good.

  • We will care for one another by sharing one another’s joys and bearing one another’s burdens.

  • We will diligently watch over one another by warning and rebuking one another as needed.

  • We will regularly meet together in order to worship God, encourage one another, and spur one another on to love and good works.

  • We will use the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given each of us to build up our church.

  • We will strive to live in unity and at peace with one another through forgiveness.

We will love all people.

  • We will work together to proclaim and advance the true gospel of Jesus Christ in our community and our world.

  • We will cheerfully contribute to support the various ministries of our church.

  • We will serve with excellence in our God-given vocations.

  • We will do good to all people as God gives us opportunity, especially those in circumstances of great need.

If we move away from this place, we will unite as soon as possible with another church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
